Hey guys! This is my first blog post! I've blogged on MySpace before but I feel like this will be more accessible since MySpace isn't as frequented as it used to be. :( I want to try to blog at least once or twice a week if possible sooooo here goes:
So, every year, my parents and I go to St. Augustine, Florida. We have a condo there and we absolutely love it. Our week in St. A basically consists of golf, dinners, spending time at our beach club, laying out, and we usually go into town to watch the fireworks on the Fourth as well as the fireworks in our condo community.
St. Augustine is actually the oldest clity in the nation. Ponce de Leon discovered it in....well, I guess I need to brush up on my history...anyway, he discovered St. Augustine and he found Florida to be one of the most beautiful places he'd ever seen (I happen to agree). He called it "Land of the Flowers" (Florida in Spanish, I guess). He also discovered what he believed to be the Fountain of Youth (I've drank from it and, other than the sulfur smell, it's not that bad).
This year, we have so much planned. Aside from our usual activities, we are also going to the Independence Day Tea Party, and the Firecracker 400 stock car race at the Daytona International Speedway...I'm soo excited!!!
The week preceding our vacation was a weird one, to say the least. I took the NLN (the nursing entrance exam) and was super nervous about it but it actually turned out to be not as bad as I imagined. I was totally shocked to hear about Michael Jackson especially after Ed McMahon AND Farrah...totally weird. I guess it's one of those things that I'll be able to tell my kids about..."I remember where I was when...".
